My remix.eth page is not connected to my metamask account
I am disappointed when my remix.eth site did not automatically appear in my Metamask account. This can be a frustrating experience, especially if you try to contact your favorite blockchain-based applications or DApp.
As an enthusiastic user of the Ethereum blockchain and its various tools, I have repeatedly encountered this issue. In this article, I go through what is going on and provide some solutions to solve it.
Understand the problem
When you use Metamask in the “Injected Web3” environment, your account is not automatically connected to a particular wallet address or Ethereum node. Instead, you need to manually connect your account to Remix.eth.
There may be several reasons for this:
1.
- Wallet node conflicts
: If multiple wallets are set in Metamask, or if the node is dealing with conflicts, this can prevent the automatic connection function properly.
degrees
To solve the problem, follow these steps:
- Check your wallet address : Check that your wallet address is correct and corresponds to your Metamask account.
2.
* On Windows: %Appdata%\ Metamask
* On MacOS: /users/Yourusername/Library/Application Support/Metamask"
* On Linux:/home/yourusername/.etamask ‘
- Update Metamask
: Make sure you use the latest version of Metamask. You can check the updates in the application settings or when you click on the three points in the top right corner and “Check updates”.
4.
* On Windows: Right-click “Metamask.exe” (usually “%Appdata%\ Metamask”) and select “Properties”. Click “Reset” and confirm.
* On MacOS: Go to ~/Library/Application Support/Metamask/
and delete the folder contents. Then reopen the metamask and follow the instructions.
- Re -install injected web3 : If you still have problems after returning Metamask, try removing and reinstalling the injected Web3:
* On Windows: Go to %Appdata%\ Metamask \
(usually %appdata%\ appdata \ node_modules") and delete the contents of the
injection-web3folder.
* MacOS-On: Go to/users/users/yourusername/library/application support/metamask/and delete the contents of the
injection-web3` folder.
